Agra Lucknow Expressway is an under construction 302 km controlled-access highway or expressway, being constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority.

Requirements

The Project consisted of passenger under-pass, vehicular-under-pass & minor bridges. The height of these structures ranges from 5.50 m to 8.80 m. The project is being constructed by Afcons Infrastructure Limited which is a part of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, the third-largest construction group in India.

The cycle time of 3.5 days was achieved using PERI solution as compared to 10 days using conventional formwork. This resulted in reduced overall construction time of the project.

PERI solution

PERI provided special solution with VARIO Wall Formwork to cast these walls up to maximum height of 8.80 m with minimum set. The main challenge was to cast different height of wall along with haunch at the top of wall in a single pour. The height of the segments was changing from one end to another.
